
Senior Manager, Contract Management
Job Summary:
Primary Objectives
The Contract Management group is responsible for managing all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from licensee on-boarding, contract negotiations, through contract amendments and renewals. This role has high interaction with a broad array of Disney groups (Licensing, Finance, Legal, Credit and Collections, ILS, etc), as well as Disney’s licensees. The group also focuses on implementing efficient and effective systems, processes, and controls.
Specific Duties
The position will be primarily responsible for the following key functions:
- Lead a regional Contract Management Hub, with direct and direct reports located in multiple locations and internationally-based contractor staff. Manage the entire contract lifecycle for all Consumer Product licensing contracts managed within the regional Hub
- Maintain deep understanding of contract execution process; act as subject matter expert (SME) on licensing and regional contract execution
- Develop meaningful data analytics. Interpret large amounts of complex data and present to senior leadership verbally and in writing in a professional, concise manner
- Develop and execute robust communication and training processes to inform Contract Management team and stakeholders of relevant information, including, but not limited to, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contract execution processes and controls, and Intellectual Property availability and restrictions
- Partner with the Director of Contract Management to lead domestic and global initiatives, identify opportunities, and implement best practices. Drive change management within team and amongst stakeholders
- Drive process improvements and automation
- Ensure contract execution Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs are met or exceeded. Ensure adherence to internal processes and controls, including Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls, where applicable
- Proactively identify roadblocks and risks and recommend solutions to the Director, Contract Management
- Review workproduct of direct and indirect reports to ensure consistent standard of excellence
- Be the face of Contract Management to regional stakeholders
- Partner with senior leadership to address licensee’s contract concerns, determine course of action and drive to resolution
- Lead and participate in contract status meetings with stakeholders
- Provide guidance on complex contract matters
- Some travel may be required <10%
Professional Qualifications
- Minimum seven years’ experience in related field, or equivalent experience
- Work experience within the entertainment industry would be considered a strong plus
Specific Skills
- Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen
- Must have prior leadership experience, preferably leading mid- to large sized teams across multiple geographical locations
- Demonstrated experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting complex data to senior leadership. Must have intermediate or better expertise in MS Excel. High attention to detail. Experience creating dashboards would be considered a strong plus
- Experience creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership
- Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation”
- Excellent communicator in both oral and in writing
- High energy level; strong work ethic

- Exhibit a willingness to be adaptable and demonstrate a desire to operate in a dynamic environment
