Job Summary:

Position Summary

Disney Corporate Alliances develops and holistically manages complex, long-term, multi-dimensional commercial relationships with select brands and companies. The Corporate Alliances team is dedicated to creating incremental value for Disney and its partners through creative development of marketing and sponsorship programs, management of partner and business unit relationships, and creation of new partnerships aligned with The Walt Disney Company APAC’s businesses and strategic goals.

Within the Corporate Alliances organization, this Role will support the on-going relationship management of partnerships and continues to drive the development of deep, strategic relationships between Disney and alliance partners. Candidate will have exposure across numerous business units throughout the company as part of a team creating and managing highly visible strategic alliance relationships in the region.

The Alliance Management Role is expected to be a self-sufficient and self-driving individual contributor who can actively develop relationships and engage with both external partners and internal key stakeholders. He or she is also expected to support functional leadership in providing sound analysis and recommendations to facilitate internal proposal evaluation and decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a single point of contact for assigned CA partners and stakeholders and develop trusted, collaborative and win-win relationships with them

  • Understand the business and marketing goals, strategic initiatives, current issues relevant to their business and industry, and vision of each partner

  • Understand TWDC strategies, initiatives, current issues and scope of current and future operations by developing strong relationships with the relevant Lines of Business (LOBs) contact persons

  • Convert the above understanding of the relationship between TWDC and CA partners into annual executable partnership plans that align the objectives of both TWDC and CA partners, and fulfill the contractual requirements of the partnership agreement

  • Actively identify and develop new opportunities to drive incremental revenue and other areas of value to both TWDC and CA partners

  • Manage and assist in the execution of select partner joint marketing and activation activities, including getting internal reviews and approvals of these marketing activities 

  • Form strategic business recommendations and develop project pitch documents based on industry research and analysis

  • Develop and deliver presentations for both internal and client facing audiences throughout the entire project development process

  • Develop new project proposals, analyze incremental contract terms and engage in negotiations

  • Work with internal stakeholders to drive ongoing incremental project initiatives and establish strong relationships with the relevant Line of Business (LOB) contact persons through effective communications

  • Work with LOBs to manage the onboarding of new alliance partners to ensure the key partnership rights launch on schedule

  • Track the health of the partnership through appropriate metrics and build on their success

  • Participate in the development of renewal proposals, analyzing contract terms and creating presentation documents

  • Other tasks assigned by management

EDUCATION TRAINING KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • B.S. or B.A degree required, at least 5 years of experience in marketing, strategic key account management, project management, brand and business planning and implementation.

  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity by being flexible and self-driven to figure out what needs to be done and drive to completion

  • Solid commercialization mindset, critical thinking, conceptual thinking, and creative problem-solving capability

  • Proven verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to grasp contractual nuances and provide solid judgment for business decisions that are in line with the partnership agreement

  • Willingness to adapt and learn new skills/approaches

  • Must be fluent in writing and verbal Chinese and English

  • Work experience with an international company preferred

  • Knowledge in financial category a plus
