
MagicAll
Shanghai Disney Resort has created a comprehensive branded program named “MagicALL” (A Magical Experience for ALL) to enhance support for both guests and Cast Members with disabilities, helping PWDs to enjoy the products and services within the resort. From the outset of the resort’s design, accessible facilities for PWDs were incorporated into the resort’s master plan based on Disney’s global experience and inspired by the global standard in accessibility regulations, industry practices, local laws and regulations, and international standards.
With the MagicALL program, guests with disabilities are able to experience the attractions and other aspects of the park through various accessible facilities and services available throughout Shanghai Disney Resort. Shanghai Disney Resort is also committed to providing an inclusive environment for all Cast Members, ensuring the well-being of Cast Members with disabilities is taken into consideration across the resort.
Recruitment
As part of the MagicALL initiative, Shanghai Disney Resort offers the ongoing MagicALL Hiring Program. Shanghai Disney Resort’s career portal and recruitment WeChat feature designated columns for MagicALL hiring programs for disabled candidates. Referrals for people with disabilities is also actively encouraged at Shanghai Disney Resort. Sign language classes are provided to recruiters to ensure easy communication with candidates who have disabilities.

In addition, to make interviews more convenient for potential candidates with disabilities, Shanghai Disney Resort continues to host on-going MagicALL Disability Hiring Days, providing on-the-spot interviews for people with disabilities.
Workplace and Dormitory
Shanghai Disney Resort provides equally accessible services and facilities for all of our Cast Members. Every back of house building is built and operated to the MagicALL standard of accessibility. The living and working experiences of all Cast Members with disabilities have been taken into consideration across the resort. For example, the ticketing area and Merchandise shops have lowered counter spaces, while backstage and Cast dormitory facilities are designed to be handicap accessible, and feature accessible toilets, bathrooms and shuttle buses. A special care contact person is also assigned at each Cast dormitory to provide help to those who need it.
Disabled parking spaces have been allocated for Cast Members with disabilities in parking lots around the backstage area. The disabled parking spaces are located nearest to parking lot exits. Cast Members with disabilities can apply for a handicapped parking permits in order to use disabled parking spaces.
Training
An inclusive learning and training environment has been established at Shanghai Disney Resort. Disney University training classes with sign language interpretation are offered for all Shanghai Disney Resort Cast Members. To ensure that those with disabilities have equal access to all career training opportunities.
Regular sign language classes are offered to those Cast Members at Shanghai Disney Resort who wish to learn. Cast Members are taught basic skills and signs for easy communication with their peers and guests with hearing and speaking disabilities.
“Qi·Xiang” Cast and Crew Advisory Committee
Since 2017, Shanghai Disney Resort has held a MagicALL Cast Advisory Council. This body is comprised of representatives with different disabilities from various lines of business at the resort. The MagicALL Cast Advisory Council was established as a platform to collect feedback from Cast Members with disabilities and to promote respect, equality, and appreciation of people with disabilities through awareness, education, and inclusion, as well as to enhance the work experiences of Cast with disabilities.
