
APAC Retail Creative Senior Manager
Job Summary:
Job Summary
- Reporting directly to the APAC Creative Director, you will be part of the APAC Creative team to develop and execute retail creative strategies — including retail toolkits, halo retail design initiatives, and retail approval processes — for Disney licensees across APAC (Greater China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific) across all TWDC brands.
- Lead the retail creative strategy and oversee design implementation to craft compelling narratives, thematic directions, and immersive retail experiences across online and offline retail channels, ensuring trend-forward and innovative design solutions that enhance the brand experience for APAC consumers.
- Lead the creative direction for Disney’s major APAC events, showcases, and trade shows — such as the annual Disney Kickoff event, toy fairs, and fashion shows — ensuring cohesive storytelling and spatial design that align with brand and retail strategies.
- Lead the APAC Retail Creative team and work based in Shanghai, working closely with the APAC Licensing teams to deliver strategic retail solutions that drive business growth and produce persuasive creative pitch decks for new retail expansion opportunities across APAC.
- Collaborate with Global Retail Creative team to stay aligned with global retail strategies, while continuously sharing regional insights, market trends, and creative perspectives to ensure relevance and resonance across diverse APAC markets.
- Possess strong knowledge of the licensing retail business across all categories and collaborate with Product Development teams to elevate product presentation and retail storytelling.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years working experience in a Brand-side enterprise or Retail Marketing design agency, architectural firm, or in the Creative design department of consumer products companies.
- Ability for carrying out design directions within schedule and resources, which adhere to brand
strategies and business goals.
- Ability to lead creative briefings with internal design teams and external design agencies.
- Ability to research and identify relevant market trends and translate understanding of the competitive market, consumers, tech, and retail trends into creative solutions.
- Ability to develop story-telling concepts and 2D, 3D mock-ups, to 3D renderings.
- Strong working knowledge in graphic and 2D design for retail signage, key visuals and presentational decks.
- Ability to convey design concepts in clear point of view moodboards.
- Ability to effectively present and communicate creative ideas and concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
- A minimum of 5 years working experience in the Design Management role.
- Ability to lead and guide junior and mid-level designers to polish their professional skills.
