
Stage Technician (Lighting/Audio/Props)
Job Summary:
As a Stage Technician, you will support the safe conduct of live stage performances, including indoor, outdoor and special events. You will operate lighting, audio, video, rigging, props, automation equipment, etc. cued by the Stage Manager, timecode or self-cued events. Your responsibilities will also include various checks before and after show, ensure the smooth operation of show equipment to bring guests a complete performance experience.
Responsibilities:
- Operate designated stage and other live performances within the defined creative parameters;
- Operate lighting, audio, video, rigging, props, automation equipment, etc.;
- Proper checks before and after the show to ensure correct and smooth running of the events;
- Operate all required safety checks before, during and after performances;
- Report and assist with maintenance of equipment;
- Equipment installation;
- Maintain a clean working environment;
- Equipment staging;
- Loading and unloading of stage equipment;
- Manage show equipment and tracking maintenance through the “Maximo” system;
- Other work assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Working experience of below one or more entertainment equipment, including audio, visual and lighting equipment:
- Audio – 32-channel+ audio consoles, passive and active speaker systems, crossovers, EQ’s, wired and wireless microphone systems;
- Lighting – 2 DMX Universe+ lighting control consoles, automated lighting fixtures, conventional lighting fixtures, dimmer systems, DMX distribution systems, LED, gel, focusing;
- Video – 1080p video projectors, 15,000 lumen+ projectors, video playback servers, video editings;
- Controls – MIDI, DMX, TCP/IP, RS422, RS482, RS232 protocols;
- Stage machinery and automation: winches, actor fly equipment, hydraulics, wagons, lifts, fly bars, ProfiNET, and automatic console operation;
- Rigging: Stunt or climbing rope, Rigging system operation;
- Props: understand the principle of the production and maintenance of props and puppets, have some experience in the production and maintenance of props and puppets, be familiar with the execution of props and puppets in performances, and have some problem-solving ability; Experience with SMPTE timecode preferred.
- Stage equipment management experiences preferred;
Frequently pushing and pulling heavy objects about 35kg ; Lifting: Regularly lifting heavy objects about 12kg, occasionally up to 35kg ;
Working Environment: Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions & indoors in areas of low visibility. Ability to work at heights and around stage machinery;
On Stage roles may be required to wear character costumes or a costume, wig, and/or make-up if visible to guests ;
Fluent in Mandarin, English communication skill preferred;
Height certification may be required (Some of the position neede d);
Must provide full availability for ongoing training;
Available to work all peak seasons, and holidays;
Available to work nights and flexible shift times;
Responsible; self-directed; enthusiastic;
Receptive to special requests; Works with many different clients;willing to assist others with difficult tasks
Able to complete daily task list and stay on schedule.

Work Location:
You will be working at Shanghai Disney Resort in Pudong, Shanghai. You can take metro Line 11 to Shanghai Disney Resort station or take one of our many shuttle buses. The shuttle buses can be taken from one of several central areas across the city every day. You can find out more information during your onboarding process.
