
Senior Manager, APAC Int'l Financial Systems
Job Summary:
- Partnering with the Enterprise Tech, International and Regional leaders in various business processes (e.g. Controllership, Disney Worldwide Shared Services, Tax, Finance, Sourcing & Procurement, Business Operations, etc.), Global and International DFS leaders, to execute global strategies that maximize APAC regional operation efficiency and effectiveness.
- Liaise with the business stakeholders on system strategies leading to process improvement and technology solution implementations.
- Lead the selection of technology tools, identification and specification of systems enhancements, oversee testing strategies, govern master data, assist with implementation on compliance and controls around these systems and troubleshoot end user issues.
- Manage the project life cycle of a number of business initiatives including but not limited to new business integration, and financial systems and process upgrades that will lead to supporting modernization efforts.
- Focus on the following main types of initiatives:
- Business Transformation projects, including process optimization/automation and new technology implementation.
- Integration of acquired companies, including operational integration of any businesses outside of standard TWDC systems and processes, migration to SAP and retirement of legacy systems
- Regulatory and compliance initiatives, including SOX, changes in Tax laws, implementation of electronic invoicing and reporting mandates, etc.
- Lead outsourcing vendor APAC DFS functions in operations, communications and transformation.
Experience, Professional Qualifications & Skills
- Well-rounded knowledge of SAP system as well as program and project management knowledge.
- Familiar with current best practices and new technological trends to enhance the effectiveness of the transaction processing, reconciliation, reporting and month / quarter end closing.
- Strong EFS business process knowledges
- US and APAC local GAAP
- Basic knowledge of APAC Tax requirement
- Source to Pay cycle, including APAC rules on AP processing and payments settlement and banking
- Order to Cash, including revenue recognition, B2B and ideally B2C billing counting different types of electronic invoicing mandates in the region
- Cash application and bank reconciliation automation
- Cross-country intercompany process
- Fixed assets
- Travel & Expense
- A strong communicator. Proven history of building and maintaining excellent client service relationships, interact and partner with executives at all levels to help drive collaborative business decisions.
- Strong motivational skills as well as team management experience to direct and mentor teams within and outside Disney to meet objectives, excellent communication skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and adaptable to business priority changes with ease.
Work Experience:
- 10 years work experience with financial or accounting, preferably in a large SAP installation
- 5 years of staff management experience
- Well-rounded functional knowledge of SAP system in related process areas.
- Experience working for large company and within a matrix organization
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in managing projects of medium to large scale and implemented change initiatives as a technical expert within a specified product or process area.
- Experience in service delivery in a high performing customer service and support organization
