Job Summary:
As an Intern, Merchandise Graphic Designer, you will provide design assistance and coordination of assigned design projects, including concepts and project documentation as required. You will design and produce art for merchandise for Shanghai Disney Resort for projects of Merchandise Design team as assigned following through on all creative deliverables. You will report to Senior Graphic Designer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for follow up the creative output of assigned projects or programs;
- Participate in the conception, presentation and execution of assigned tasks and follow up on all creative deliverables;
- Work closely with graphic designers with and product development teams to create product designs;
- Partners with creative team, product development and sourcing partners to define graphics implementation strategy and quality;
- Responsible for organizing and archiving design files;
- Prepares final art, ready for vendor production when required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Majoring in Graphic Design or related fields;
- A portfolio of professional design work that demonstrates skills and experience in the graphic design field;
- Conceptual skills with the ability to create situational compositions, backgrounds and props;
- Working knowledge of diverse design styles and techniques;
- Strong learning ability and enthusiasm for graphic design and merchandising;
- Good written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills, organization skills and ability to influence;
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and detail-oriented;
- Good partnering skills to excel in a dynamic team;
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Illustrator and PhotoShop as well as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Proficiency in writing, reading and speaking Mandarin and English.
