Intern, External Communications (Public Affairs)

Shanghai Disney Resort

Position Summary:

This position will support the External Communications function of the Public Affairs team at Shanghai Disney Resort. The position will assist in executing the overall external communications strategy for the resort.

Responsibilities:

· Support the execution of external communications strategies, campaigns, processes and vehicles that support the business objectives of Shanghai Disney Resort.

· Support the development and communication of key messages and information related to the development and future operations of the resort.

· Support conception, development and distribution of social media content across multiple social media channels.

· Support media database management and maintenance.

· Support the organization of media engagement activities.

· Monitor public opinion which affects Shanghai Disney Resort’s reputation and business, and implement timely actions which assist in managing such issues.

· Accomplish all assignments effectively, accurately and within established timeframe.

· Ensure that guidelines for the proper use of nomenclature, grammar, graphics and the product/name are met in every communication piece.

· Support External Communication team’s daily administration work, such as purchase order placement, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

· Major in Public Affairs, Journalism, Communications or other relevant areas.

· Previous internship experience in Public Affairs or relevant areas preferred.

· Demonstrated computer proficiency within a Windows environment. Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

· Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills, in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

· Good team player

· Detail-oriented

· Demonstrate passion in working in Communications industry and understanding Chinese media, including print, TV, online and social media.
