Job Summary:

Host/Hostess for Store operations (Merchandise) is responsible for greeting and interacting with our guests in a positive and friendly manner following the guest service model. This role is responsible for putting on the shelf, to ensure the replenishment of the products, replenishment of other operation supplies and package pick up and inventory controlling. When this role is in the store, if needed, as secondary responsibility, this role isalso responsible for greeting and interacting with our guests in a positive and friendly manner and assist them in selecting their favorite products. This role assists guests and Cast Members with directions, entertainment, show event schedules, and other information or assistance as needed to provide excellent guest and cast service.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and approach guests to offer assistance, discover their merchandise needs and help them make their selection and offer additional merchandise to go with their selection to enrich guests’ shopping experience;
  • Process all transactions in a friendly and efficient manner;
  • Share product knowledge and the story behind the product, share resort information & promote synergy;
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including cash handling procedures and loss prevention guidelines;
  • Meet attendance and scheduling availability guidelines, adhere to leave application procedures;
  • Interact with children;
  • Help multiple guests;
  • Follow stock replenishment procedures including stock processing, product fulfillment, heavy lifting, accuracy, and efficiency and maintain the high standards of visual merchandiser;
  • Learn how to play the roles as host/hostess (including but not limited to greeter, cashier, customization service, stock helper, working in an outdoor for extended periods environment sales and others). Rotate in different roles according to scheduling within 1 day;
  • Follow superiors' allocation of work to different stores;
  • Focus on safety and assess risks;
  • Perform additional duties as directed by leaders.

Based on business need and Cast Members’ credentials, below tasks will be assigned from time to time.
  • Support guest flow in general, including in different locations;
  • Assist guests with directions, answer questions, provide information and solutions as needed;
  • Support cleaning work areas and guest areas;
  • Keep Shanghai Disney Resort clean by picking trash;
  • Handle cash or process POS in other lines of business ( * applicable to cash-handling or POS related jobs only);
  • Assist with other tasks (including but not limited to merchandise packing, merchandise handling, etc.);
  • Utilize hand-held scanners, pallets , hand trucks etc. and be familiar with visual display standards;
  • Actively participate in maintaining accurate inventory levels, including physical inventory and verify status of price changes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Good communication skill (Proactively interact with guests, talk and build connection with peers and leaders);
  • Provide courtesy to our guests with good communication skills and a service mindset;
  • A team player and be able to resolve problems individually;
  • Energetic, patient, positive, proactive;
  • Flexible and adaptable (Working in an outdoor environment with varying shift times is required);
  • Be able to handle challenging situations and be able to perform multiple tasks at one time;
  • You will obtain certificate or qualification(s) required for performing the job, and complete and pass all post-employment training and assessments (including but not limited to On-Job-Training);
  • Preferred those with working experience in the company (Retail, F&B, Hotel, etc.).
