职位描述

演出技术制作经理负责整合并协调所有项目中演出制作的各项技术工作。主导由演出工作室设计并交付的技术需求开发与资源配置,重点聚焦演出系统

确保所交付的技术成果符合预期演出功能,以及创意团队定义的演出意图,核心围绕演出系统展开。作为演出制作人、数字制作人及演出设计与施工经理的技术合作伙伴,统筹项目全范围所有演出技术分工,制定项目技术与数字策略。

与技术工作室、演出系统架构、音视频、投影设计、音响、媒体及制作流程负责人紧密协作,为样机测试、现场排练及安装落地提供体验设计与集成的最佳实践支持。监督影响游客体验的信号流程技术实施,确保所有技术分工的输入成果整合一致,符合项目创意目标。

 

核心职能与职责

演出技术制作经理负责:

·       识别与评估技术风险,主导研究并制定自主实施或外部供应商采购(OSV)策略

·       协调技术方案论证与对比研究

·       明确演出层面的高阶技术需求

·       向各技术专业发布并分配需求

·       统筹整体成本估算、进度计划及人力矩阵

·       监督所有演出制作专业的调试、验收测试、移交文档及质量保证流程,重点聚焦媒体相关内容

·       经演出设计与施工经理同意,媒体 / 演出系统设计师可作为外部供应商合同的责任负责人(RI)

·       理解需集成的专业领域,如视频媒体、数字制作流程、虚拟排练、视觉呈现等

·       明确所需技术专业,识别并评估技术风险

·       在核心团队层面,汇报与各专业及外部供应商 / 资源的战略讨论结果

 

领导能力与管理权限

·       与各技术专业项目成员协作,明确范围、角色与职责,纳入整体技术架构

·       与演出设计与施工经理、项目经理、创意负责人及演出工作室各专业保持紧密合作

·       协商并确立待估算、设计与搭建的技术架构

·       与演出经理及技术专业紧密配合,管理持续的方案权衡、调整或范围变更,按需评估风险与成本,确保系统设计与实施策略可靠

·       资深岗位需将75% 以上时间用于领导管理工作

·       在核心团队内同步技术风险与解决方案、预算与进度下的演出概念落地进展,协商解决问题时的方案权衡

 ROLE DESCRIPTION:

 

The Show Technical Production Manager integrates and coordinates the technical aspects of all Show Production for any given project. They are responsible for the development and allocation of the technical requirements designed and delivered by the Show Studio with focus on Show Systems. They are responsible for ensuring that the technical deliverable provided meets the intended Show functionality as well as the show intent as defined by the Creative team with a focus on Show Systems. They serve as technical partner to the Show Producer, Digital Producer, and Show D&P Manager in supervising all Show technical DOWs project wide to define technical and digital strategy for the project. They works closely with the Tech Studio, Show Systems Architecture, A/V, Projection Design, Sound, Media and the pipeline leadership to support best practices for experience design and integration for Mock Ups, Stagings, and Install. They supervise the technical implementation of signal path workflows that affect the Guest experience to ensure the integrated expression of the inputs from all DOWs is alignment with the creative goals of the project.

 

 

CORE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Show Technical Production Manager is responsible for:

 

·      Identification and evaluation of technical risk. This includes leading studies to decide on the strategy to Self-Perform or purchase from an Outside Vendor (OSV)

·      Coordination of technical trade studies

·      Identification of high-level Show requirements with regard to technical aspects

·      Issuing and assigning Requirements to the technical disciplines

·      Coordination of total Cost Estimate and Schedule/Manpower Matrix

·      Oversight of the Test and Adjust, Acceptance Test, Turnover Documentation, and Quality Assurance procedures for all production-based Show disciplines, focus on media

·      In concurrence with the Show D&P manager, the Media / Show Systems Designer may at times be the Responsible Individual (RI) authority level on OSV contracts

·      Understanding of specialty areas in need of integration such as Video Media, Digital Pipeline, Virtual Staging, and Visual Presentation. 

·      Identification of required technical disciplines, as well as identification and evaluation of technical risk

·      At the core team level, reporting on the results of strategic discussions with the disciplines and outside vendors/resources

 

 

LEADERSHIP SKILLS/ LEADERSHIP AUTHORITY:

 

 

·      Collaborates with individual project team members from each technical discipline to define scope, roles, and responsibility as part of an overall technical architecture

·      Maintains a close working partnership with the Show D&P Manager, Project Manager, Creative Leader, and the various Show Studio disciplines

·      Negotiates and establishes a technical architecture to be estimated, designed, and constructed 

·      Closely partners with the Show Manager and Technical disciplines, to manage ongoing trade-offs, course adjustments, or changes to the scope and approach, required to evaluate risk vs. cost as needed for a reliable system design and implementation strategy

·      At the Senior level, should expect to allocate over 75% of their time on leadership responsibilities

 

 

 

COMMUNICATION INFLUENCE 

 

 

·      Communication on a constant basis to individual Studio DOW (Division of Work) members represented on core team regarding necessary deliverables, roles and responsibilities, discipline requirements, overall architecture, and expectations for each discipline 

·      Communication between the Core Team on Technical Risk and Resolution, progress towards achievement of show concept within budget and time, and negotiation of tradeoffs in resolving challenges 

·      Communication of on-going status of conformance regarding local government codes, norms, and certifications

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

·      Basic knowledge of Disney estimating and accounting principles (ROI, Total Cost of Ownership, First Cost versus Recurring Costs, etc.)

 


EDUCATION, AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:

·      BS or equivalent (preferred)

·      Professional Engineering License (preferred)

·      Minimum of 7 years Entertainment related experience (required)

·      Software – Understanding of Revit, Navisworks, Unreal, Maya, Motionbuilder, Rhino, Autocad, Sketch Up


DESIRED QUALIFICATION:

 

·      Prior Disney theme park design experience preferred.

·      A working knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Video Projection Systems, Video and Audio Playback Systems, Media Editing Software, Media Delivery Platforms.

·      Appropriate management skills for leading and interfacing with a diverse cross-functional team.

·      Excellent communication and listening skills.

·      A broad understanding of Entertainment technology and terminology

·      An ability to problem- solve and communicate solutions effectively.
