Business Strategy team is responsible for future business growth strategies critical to the long-term success of Shanghai Disney Resort. The team’s scope primarily includes business and financial analysis for major expansion projects, development of future growth strategy, and delivery of key presentations to senior leadership as well as internal and external partners and stakeholders.
The Manager, Business Strategy will report directly to Director, Business Strategy at Shanghai Disney Resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to strategic vision and objectives of Shanghai Disney Resort with creativity and entrepreneurship
- Perform research and financial analysis to assess SHDR growth opportunities and strategies;
- Actively explore and drive potential development related projects and business growth opportunities, including business case evaluation and coordination with cross-functional internal stakeholders to form alignment;
- Develop periodic and ad-hoc report-out on business state of Shanghai Disney Resort to internal stakeholders, shareholders, Board of Directors and government partners;
- Superior communication skills and strong competence to prepare and present cohesive materials on initiatives to senior executive leadership applying compelling visuals in a storytelling way
- Lead competing priorities and consistently navigate ambiguity and complexity
- Demonstrate organizational savviness with keen understanding of how organizations function and ability to influence peers and leaders
- Build and champion collaborative partnerships across functions and departments within Disney Experiences (DX) to identify business opportunities and then prioritize solutions, drive alignment and implement changes on behalf of Shanghai Disney Resort
- Lead multi-functional project teams and build relationship with key internal partners to deliver new business initiatives and/or evolve existing strategies with strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Create and maintain a positive team environment focused on “what’s possible” and dream boldly
- Exceptional problem-solving skills – probes for answers and looks beyond the obvious, can see hidden problems and proactively addresses them, grounded in the big picture
- Maintain a strong awareness of the global entertainment industry and landscape as well as consumer trends
- Develop project plans to support organizational initiatives, craft tactics to achieve objectives and lead cross-functional execution
- Drive engagement and initiative success through consistent, thorough and well-organized project management
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Consulting, Strategy, or Financial Planning and Analysis related area;
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or other related field with top academic achievement;
- Advanced analysis and financial modeling skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations;
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to handle complex concepts
- Demonstrated success as an effective leader, negotiator, partner, collaborator and influencer;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving skills;
- Strong capability to tailor messages appropriately to audience
- Self-starter with ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity
- Fluent in both verbal and written English and Mandarin;
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA from top-tier school or equivalent
- Ability to work in a project team-oriented environment in a complex and diverse business unit of a multi-national company;
- Enthusiasm for the Travel, Leisure, and Entertainment industries;
- Knowledge of Disney products, service lines and processes as well as an understanding of Disney brand drivers and attributes.

- 至少五年以上咨询、战略、外企财务规划与分析相关工作经验;
- 拥有商业、财务或相关专业的学士学位和优异的学术成绩;
- 扎实的的分析和建模能力,能将数据转换为用于指导行动的见解和建议;
- 具有出色的战略性思维,并能轻松处理复杂的概念;
- 成功的领导者、谈判者、合作伙伴、协作者和影响者;
- 突出的书面和口头表达能力;
