Sr Mgr-Finance

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Manager, Finance role will be part of the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) Finance team, supporting all WDI-managed Disney Experience projects in Shanghai Disney Resort.

This position requires being a leading business thought partner of choice by providing sound financial analyses, decision support and leadership for several Shanghai Disney Resort (SHDR) projects.  Key elements of this role include:

1)    Ensuring that financial control processes are in place to guarantee compliance of company policies

2)    Proactively identifying issues and offering solution-oriented recommendations to influence key decisions

3)    Communicating clear and concise thoughts and information to partners and leaders in a persuasive and timely manner

4)    Building strong working relationships with internal and external business partners to develop a deep understanding of the business

5)    Being a role model and leader among the team, by creating a learning environment, challenging continuous improvement, sharing best practices, and encouraging participation in team building and business learning opportunities

This position will dual report to Finance Project Executive, International and Director, Business Strategy.

Additionally, this position will lead or partner in several key projects or business areas with key responsibilities including (but not limited to):

·         Lead a team and manage project finance operations such as staffing plan, monthly project capital forecasts, annual capital plan, etc.

·         Be a key partner with project executives in preparing and delivering project monthly and quarterly updates to internal stakeholders

·         Be a key partner with site leaders in preparing and delivering regular shareholder financial reports and requests

·         Leveraging project reporting to identify key issues/opportunities

·         Connecting with the broader organization (e.g., Capital planning, tax, reporting, treasury, HR, Global Mobility) on business related matters, ensure consistency, in addition to maintaining strong relationships

·         Influencing and partnering with the project teams to understand the projects, develop a deep understanding of the businesses, and to have a point of view regarding key business issues

·         Supporting the projects through proactive analysis and recommendations/insights

·         Leading a team and appropriately delegating responsibilities

·         Managing in and through a fast paced, ever changing project oriented culture

·         Communicating effectively with various audiences (executive, manager, analyst) in both written and verbal forms

·         Demonstrating an attention to detail, while maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture

·         Understanding the partners perspective, while maintaining independence and providing constructive counterpoints when necessary

·         This role requires frequent and/or prolonged travel to California during early phases of projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered)

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

·         7+ years of relevant accounting, or finance experience

·         Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skills

·         Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail

·         Demonstrated partnering, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner

·         Demonstrated strong computer skills with knowledge of financial systems and software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques

·         Demonstrated passion for the Disney brand/product

·         Ability to work proactively, independently and as a strategic partner in a team environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·         MBA, CPA or equivalent

·         Proven SAP experience

·         Prior supervisory/managerial experience

·         Knowledge of WDW Parks & Resorts planning process
