艺术总监 Art Director

艺术总监将协助总监，创意发展，与上海迪士尼度假区的各个业务线合作，确保在维护迪士尼高标准的表演质量/故事讲述一致性的同时，满足业务需求。艺术总监直接负责DSQ设计团队的创意指导，为各种规模和范围的项目提供设计意图和服务。艺术总监将参与景点餐厅、商品店、剧院、景点排队区和酒店空间等各个设计项目。

艺术总监将被要求领导其他设计师提供设计解决方案，并协调分配的设计项目，包括概念和项目文档等。工作范围从概念设计到合同文档，包括所有材料和家具的规范。这个职位认可在创意艺术指导领域的经验，领导团队以及与多个学科合作。候选人必须对设计流程有出色的理解，能够在协作环境中与其他学科良好合作，并应有指导其他设计师和制作人员的经验。

你将负责：

• 提供日常创意和设计指导——包括创意设计师、平面设计师、灯光师、剧本编写、角色完成、角色构成、道具、动画、媒体、建筑和工程合作伙伴
• 做出日常创意决策，领导并指导设计团队，确保分配项目的表现质量
• 向上海和美国团队提供创意更新
• 参加合作伙伴会议，与各个项目负责人和业务线进行清晰的互动和沟通
• 与各种合作伙伴一起审查正在进行的项目和显示质量问题
• 帮助推动未来项目的创意项目
• 参与创意、演示和执行任务，跟进所有创意交付
• 通过成功整合标识设计与设施外部、内部和区域发展的其他学科和组成部分，确保实现创意意图
• 确保遵守部门的标准实践、策略、时间表和预算
• 通过解决问题和发展设计解决方案，支持项目目标/目标的实施
• 在施工招标过程中回答问题，解决施工现场的问题和疑问
• 直接指导顾问和制造供应商
• 做出设计决策，并给出最终的创意指导和批准

您将带来：

• 拥有认证设计项目的学士学位（文学士/理学士）或同等学历。
• 至少10年在主题娱乐（或同等）设计领域的专业经验。
• 至少2年管理/领导创意专业团队的经验。
• 强大的计算机和手绘技能，包括熟练使用AutoCAD、Photoshop、InDesign、Sketch-up和微软办公软件套件（Word、Excel和PowerPoint）。
• 能够使用图形和插图方法传达简单和复杂的概念。
• 展示在主题娱乐（或同等）设计领域技能和经验的专业设计作品集。
• 出色的演讲和组织能力。
• 精通阅读、书写和口语（普通话和英语）。
• 了解项目生命周期规划的工作知识，包括审查施工图纸、制造审查流程和现场施工检查的经验。
• 能够在项目开发的各个阶段工作，包括大型和复杂的项目。

Job Summary:

The Art Director supports the Director, Creative Development and is the front line Creative conscience, partnering with various lines of business across Shanghai Disney Resort to ensure the balance of maintaining Disney's high standard of show quality/story telling consistencies along with the needs of the business.  The Art Director is directly responsible for Creative direction of the DSQ design team, providing design intent and services for various projects of scope and scale.  Art Director will be involved in various design projects within attractions restaurants, merchandise shops, theaters, attraction queues and hotel spaces.  The Art Director will be asked to lead other designers to provide design solutions and coordination of assigned design projects, including concepts and project documentation as required.  Scope of work encompasses conceptual design through contract documentation, including specification of all materials and furnishings. This position recognizes experience in the field of Creative Art Direction, leading teams and working with multiple disciplines. This candidate must have an exceptional understanding of the design process, work well with other disciplines in a collaborative environment and should have experience in directing other designers and production staff.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day-to-day creative direction to design disciplines – Creative Designers, Graphics, lighting, show writing, character finishing, character concrete, props, animation, media, architectural and engineering partners
• Empowered to make day-to-day Creative decisions, leads and mentors design team to ensure Show Quality of assigned projects
• Provides Creative updates to Shanghai and US based teams
• Attends partner meetings, interact and communicate clearly with various Project Leads and lines of business  
• Reviews ongoing Projects and Show Quality concerns with various partners
• Helps drive creative projects for future projects
• Participates in the ideation, presentation and execution of their assignments, following through on all creative deliverables.
• Ensure Creative intent is achieved by successfully integrating sign design with other disciplines and components of Facility Exterior, Interior and Area Development.
• Ensures adherence to departmental Standards of Practice, strategies, schedules and budgets.
• Supports implementation of Project goals/objectives through problem solving and development of design solutions
• Ability to answer questions during construction bid process and resolves construction field issues and questions
• Direct consultants and fabrication vendors
• Working knowledge of diverse design styles and techniques.
• Make design decisions and give final Creative direction and approval

What To Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from an accredited design program (or equivalent)
• Minimum 10 years professional experience in themed entertainment (or equivalent) design field
• Minimum of 2 years managing/leading a team of creative professionals
• Strong computer and hand sketching skills including proficiency in AutoCAD, PhotoShop, In Design, Sketch-up and MS Office Suite -  Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate simple and complex concepts using graphic and illustrative methods
• A portfolio of professional design work that demonstrates skills and experience in themed entertainment (or equivalent) design field
• Exceptional presentation and organization skills
• Proficiency in writing, reading and speaking Mandarin and English
• Working knowledge of planning a Project Life Cycle
• Experience including the review of shop drawings, fabrication review process and on-site construction inspections
• Ability to work in all phases of a project’s development, including large and complex projects.
