Job Summary:
The Production Designer’s primary goal is to ensure that the content and integrity of the concept is maintained throughout the design, production and installation process. The demands of this role require an in-depth understanding of the creative intent and the ability for realizing it through the effective execution of the theatrical design process. The Production Designer is the overall representative of the theatrical design team interfaces and is responsible for supporting their interests and sharing their efforts.
Responsibilities:
The Production Designer Senior is responsible for moderate to complex attractions or areas. In addition:
- Partner with Show Manager in creation of show design and production strategies
- Oversee dimensional design team
- Determine and direct mock-up and staging efforts
- Oversee design and production progress to schedule and budget and advise on impact of all proposed changes
- Develop strategies for production of show elements.
- Research new/existing materials relative to company standards and applicability to project goals.
- Provide day-to-day art direction to production and installation crews
- Lead teams and collaborate across studios
- Over 50% of time spent on leadership responsibilities
- Provide leadership to other disciplines on cross-functional teams (color, paint, lighting, props, etc.)
- Follow direction of either Principal/Executive level Production Designer or Creative Director
- Oversee Show disciplines at scope level, partnering with DOW leads
- Is empowered to make decisions on day-to-day and strategic planning of projects, including problem resolution, risk mitigation, and recommendations that impact project objectives for multiple attractions or areas and across project teams of diverse disciplines.
- High level responsibility for providing information to be included in executive level summary reports and presentations communicated out to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years in theme park design, production and installation
Required Education :
- Degree in theater, fine arts or environmental design or equivalent professional experience.

- 带领团队并推动跨部门协作
- 超过50%的时间用于领导职责
- 为跨职能团队中的其他专业提供领导支持(如色彩、上色、灯光、道具等)
- 遵循首席/执行级制作设计师或创意总监的指导
- 在职责范围层面统筹演出布景相关专业,并与各专业负责人协作
- 有权就项目的日常事务和战略规划作出决策,包括问题解决、风险缓解以及提出影响多个景点或区域及跨专业项目团队目标的建议。
- 负责提供信息,以纳入面向高级管理层传达的高层摘要报告和汇报文件。
基本任职资格:
- 至少5年主题乐园设计、制作及安装相关经验
学历要求:
- 戏剧、纯艺术、环境设计相关专业学位,或具备同等专业工作经验。
